About the Company

The client is one of India's rapidly growing integrated renewable energy manufacturing organizations with a strong presence across the Solar PV value chain. The company is engaged in the manufacturing of high-efficiency Solar Cells and Modules, serving utility-scale, commercial & industrial (C&I), and distributed energy markets.

Roles and Responsibilites

Business & Commercial Leadership

  • Develop and execute business strategies aligned with the organization's growth, revenue, and profitability objectives.
  • Drive business expansion across Solar PV Cells and Modules through strategic customer acquisition and market development initiatives.
  • Identify and evaluate new business opportunities, strategic partnerships, and market expansion avenues.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, EPC companies, developers, utilities, distributors, and other industry stakeholders.

Sales & Marketing

  • Lead the overall sales and marketing function, ensuring achievement of revenue, volume, and market share targets.
  • Formulate and implement sales strategies, customer engagement plans, and go-to-market initiatives.
  • Drive market intelligence, competitive analysis, demand forecasting, and customer segmentation efforts.
  • Strengthen the organization's market presence and positioning within the renewable energy sector.

Pricing, Costing & Commercial Excellence

  • Establish pricing strategies and commercial frameworks that optimize profitability while maintaining market competitiveness.
  • Work closely with manufacturing, procurement, and finance teams to ensure effective alignment between pricing, costing, and business objectives.
  • Lead commercial negotiations, contract structuring, and long-term customer agreements.
  • Monitor product-wise profitability, margins, and overall commercial performance.

Leadership & Stakeholder Management

  • Provide strategic direction and leadership to the sales, marketing, and commercial teams.
  • Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders across manufacturing, operations, finance, and supply chain functions.
  • Represent the organization in interactions with key customers, industry bodies, and strategic partners as required.

Skills and qualifications

  • Minimum 20 years of experience, with substantial leadership exposure within the Solar PV Cell and Module manufacturing industry.
  • Proven track record in Sales, Marketing, Business Development, Commercial Management, Pricing, and Costing functions.
  • Demonstrated success in driving business growth, market expansion, and profitability.
  • Strong understanding of solar industry dynamics, regulatory frameworks, customer landscape, and commercial practices.
  • Experience managing both domestic and international business portfolios will be preferred.
