About the Company
Roles and Responsibilites
Key Responsibilities:
1. Supply Chain Strategy & Optimization
Develop and execute an agile, scalable supply chain strategy in alignment with business objectives.
Drive end-to-end process improvements in sourcing, logistics, and warehousing to enhance speed, cost-efficiency, and flexibility.
Implement robust performance tracking metrics and continuous improvement programs.
2. Procurement & Vendor Management
Lead procurement of raw materials, packaging, and other inputs ensuring quality, cost efficiency, and timely availability.
Establish strong vendor partnerships and negotiate long-term agreements while managing supplier performance and risk.
Ensure ethical, compliant, and sustainable sourcing practices.
3. Compliance & Food Safety
Ensure end-to-end compliance with relevant food safety and quality standards (e.g., FSSAI, HACCP, ISO 22000).
Work closely with Quality Assurance to monitor product integrity throughout the supply chain.
Maintain audit-readiness and product traceability systems for regulatory adherence and recall preparedness.
4. Logistics & Distribution
Design and oversee transportation networks, ensuring timely and cost-effective distribution across geographies.
Manage cold chain operations for temperature-sensitive products, minimizing spoilage and loss.
Partner with 3PLs and logistics providers to enhance reach and service levels.
5. Demand Planning & Inventory Management
Lead the S&OP process to synchronize demand forecasting, production planning, and inventory control.
Optimize inventory levels to reduce waste while ensuring consistent product availability.
Leverage forecasting tools and analytics to improve accuracy and responsiveness.
6. Team Leadership & Development
Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing team across supply chain functions including procurement, planning, logistics, and warehousing.
Foster a culture of ownership, collaboration, and continuous learning.
Develop succession plans and enhance internal capabilities through training and development.
Skills and qualifications
Proven experience (15+ years) in supply chain leadership roles within the food/FMCG sector.
Strong understanding of end-to-end supply chain operations, including perishable goods, vendor management, and compliance.
Expertise in inventory optimization, logistics strategy, and S&OP.
Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive large-scale transformation.
Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
