About the Company
Roles and Responsibilites
-Develop and lead the M&A strategy in line with the company’s long-term vision and growth objectives.
-Identify and evaluate strategic opportunities including acquisitions, joint ventures, partnerships, and alliances across domestic and global markets.
-Conduct in-depth market research, industry benchmarking, and financial modeling to assess potential targets and value creation.
-Manage the complete deal lifecycle—from target screening and business case development to financial valuation, due diligence, and negotiation of key transaction documents (e.g., term sheets, SPAs).
-Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Legal, Tax, Finance, and Operations to ensure thorough risk assessment and integration planning.
-Liaise with external advisors such as investment bankers, consultants, and legal counsel to support deal execution.
-Present investment proposals and transaction structures to senior leadership and the Board for strategic approvals.
-Drive post-merger integration planning to ensure operational alignment, synergy realization, and smooth transition.
-Continuously monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and macroeconomic factors to inform M&A pipeline development and strategy refinement.
Skills and qualifications
We are looking for accomplished M&A professionals with a strong track record in executing complex transactions. Ideal candidates will come from investment banking backgrounds, having managed Industrials or Chemicals as sector coverage, and bring deep domain understanding and strategic insight.
Preferred Qualifications:
-CA or MBA from a Tier 1 institute
-10+ years of experience in M&A, investment banking, or corporate development with relevant sector focus
Technical Skills:
-Expertise in financial modeling, valuation, and deal structuring
-Comprehensive understanding of legal, regulatory, and compliance frameworks governing M&A
-Proven experience in executing cross-border and domestic transactions end-to-end
-Strong project management and negotiation skills
-Familiarity with international due diligence processes and cross-functional coordination
Behavioral Competencies:
-Strategic thinker with sharp analytical skills and business acumen
-Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders
-Leadership presence with confidence to present at Board and CXO levels
