Roles and Responsibilites
- Lead sales planning, development, deployment, and achievement of business targets across North America (USA and Canada).
- Manage existing business operations while identifying and driving new business opportunities within the region.
- Explore and develop business avenues beyond current channels or products — including private label opportunities and expansion into ethnic or specialty channels.
- Map the ethnic retail distribution network across the USA and Canada to strengthen market presence and coverage.
- Travel extensively (approximately 50% of the time) across the region to identify and close distribution gaps, ensure correct pricing implementation at retail, and maintain strong merchandising standards.
- Build and maintain a comprehensive database on market insights, trends, and research to inform business decisions.
- Identify gaps in market distribution and take proactive steps to enhance reach and availability.
- Collaborate closely with distributor sales teams to ensure strong coverage, deeper distribution, and improved brand visibility.
- Work with the leadership team to conceptualize, plan, and execute brand promotion cycles, marketing initiatives, POS materials, and on-ground activations.
Skills and qualifications
- Master’s degree in Business Administration.
- 6–8 years of experience in sales and distribution of FMCG products, with at least 3 years in North America.
- Strong network with top clients and distributors, with a proven record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.
- Prior experience in the food and FMCG industry within North America is essential.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Demonstrated ability to work both collaboratively within teams and independently.
- Willingness to travel extensively (approximately 50% of the time) across the USA and Canada.
