Roles and Responsibilites
Procurement Strategy & Category Management	
Build and lead end-to-end procurement for key agri commodity categories (grains, rice, sugar, pulses, oils).
Develop supplier ecosystem, negotiate long-term partnerships, and ensure reliable supply chains.
Establish category strategies to ensure cost competitiveness and supply assurance.
Materials & Logistics Cost Management
Drive initiatives to control FML (Freight, Material, Logistics) costs and ensure cost-efficient procurement.
Collaborate with manufacturing and supply chain to optimize inbound and outbound logistics.
Facilities & Distribution	
Oversee procurement facilities and Distribution Centre (DC) operations related to sourcing, warehousing, and dispatch.
Implement systems to improve efficiency, reduce wastage, and ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.
Team Leadership	
Build and mentor a small, agile procurement team.
Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and data-driven decision-making.
Governance & Processes	
Develop procurement policies, frameworks, and KPIs for spend management and supplier performance.
Ensure compliance with statutory, audit, and ESG requirements.
Skills and qualifications
Graduate/Postgraduate in Supply Chain, Agri Business, or Engineering; MBA preferred.
15–20 years in Procurement or Supply chain
Proven experience in managing large-scale procurement of commodities (grains, pulses, oils, sugar, etc.).
Strong commercial acumen, analytical ability, and negotiation skills.
Exposure to pan-India supplier base and logistics cost optimization.
Intellectually sharp, strategic thinker, and hands-on execution leader.
