Our client is a high-growth, publicly listed retail leader in India that is rapidly expanding and reshaping the market.

Roles and Responsibilites

This position involves full P&L ownership for the Kids Girls category, requiring the development of annual business plans to meet sales, margin, and inventory targets. The role defines category strategy by analyzing consumer insights and market trends. Key functions include building a balanced assortment mix (e.g., Frocks, Denim), optimizing margins through vendor negotiation and driving private labels, and managing inventory via demand forecasting and OTB planning. Success is driven by coordinating marketing campaigns, leveraging digital engagement, and ensuring seamless cross-functional execution while leading a team and presenting performance to senior management.

Skills and qualifications

The ideal candidate requires 10-15 years of experience and a Retail/Fashion degree (NIFT preferred). Core skills include strong P&L management and business acumen. Expertise is needed in Kids Girls' fashion trends, vendor negotiation, sourcing, and analytical skills for assortment planning and forecasting. Excellent leadership and stakeholder management, with multi-format retail experience, are essential.
