Roles and Responsibilites
This strategic role is responsible for defining and championing the multi-year Digital and AI/ML roadmap for the retail group, aligning it with the Promoter's vision and business goals. This involves proactively identifying and prioritizing digital and AI opportunities across the entire value chain—including supply chain, e-commerce, in-store operations, and CRM—and developing data-backed business cases to justify investments. A core function is leading the end-to-end execution of key projects, such as e-commerce upgrades and AI-powered systems. The leader serves as a critical link between the Family Office, business CEOs, and external partners, ensuring both alignment and rigorous project governance and risk management. Finally, the role drives innovation by tracking emerging technologies (like Generative AI) and building digital acumen across the organization to enhance the omnichannel customer experience and loyalty.
Skills and qualifications
This high-impact role requires a minimum of five years of progressive experience demonstrating success in Digital Transformation, AI/ML implementation, or technology-focused strategy consulting. The educational foundation must include a Bachelor's in engineering or a quantitative field, with a full-time MBA from a globally reputed or top-tier Indian business school being highly preferred or mandatory. Direct, mandatory experience lies either within the Retail, E-commerce, or Consumer Goods sector, or as a Consultant from a top-tier firm (MBB, Big 4, or specialized Digital consulting) leading mandates for large retail clients. The ideal candidate possesses deep expertise in modern digital architecture, cloud, data analytics, and the practical application of AI/ML and RPA in a business context, alongside familiarity with core retail systems (ERP, POS) and the digital stack (CDP, DXP). Critical competencies include the exceptional ability to lead complex organizational change and influence senior non-technical stakeholders, coupled with strong strategic and financial acumen for moving from strategy to detailed execution and performing robust ROI analysis. Finally, success in this high-touch Family Office environment demands outstanding communication, negotiation, and soft skills, supported by technical knowledge in Digital/Performance Marketing (MarTech, SEO/SEM) and Data Governance/Privacy.
