Roles and Responsibilites
- Strategic Partner to the MD
Work closely with the MD to define strategic priorities, annual operating plans, and execution roadmaps.
Translate business strategy into clear goals, KPIs, and execution plans across functions.
Support preparation for board meetings, executive reviews, and strategic offsites.
- Cross-Functional Leadership & Execution
Provide oversight and coordination for multiple functions reporting to the MD (e.g., Strategy, PMO, Sales Ops, Delivery Ops, Transformation, or other central teams).
Drive alignment across leadership teams to ensure execution against agreed priorities.
Track progress of strategic and operational initiatives; proactively flag risks and course-correct.
-Business Operations & Governance
Establish and manage operating cadence including leadership reviews, functional dashboards, and performance governance.
Drive disciplined execution through structured reviews, action tracking, and follow-through.
Enable faster, data-driven decision-making by synthesizing insights across functions.
- Stakeholder & Leadership Management
Act as a key interface between the MD’s office and senior leaders across technology, sales, delivery, finance, HR, and product.
Represent the MD in internal forums, steering committees, and leadership discussions as required.
Ensure clear communication of priorities, decisions, and expectations across the organization.
- Decision Support & Problem Solving
Lead deep-dive analyses on strategic issues, operational performance, and transformation initiatives.
Support critical decisions through scenario planning, risk assessment, and business case development.
Identify structural inefficiencies and recommend improvements across processes and systems.
- Program Management & Transformation
Own and drive enterprise-wide strategic programs sponsored by the MD, with clear scope, milestones, dependencies, and success metrics.
Establish strong program management discipline across initiatives, including prioritization, sequencing, resource alignment, and risk management.
Ensure timely delivery of high-impact programs by coordinating across functions, resolving bottlenecks, and escalating decisions when required.
Track benefits realization to ensure programs deliver tangible business impact aligned with strategic objectives.
- Team Leadership & People Management
Directly manage cross-functional teams reporting into the MD’s office, ensuring clarity of roles, objectives, and performance outcomes.
Coach and develop high-potential talent within these teams.
Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and execution excellence.
Skills and qualifications
Strategic thinking & execution excellence – ability to translate strategy into operating plans, KPIs, and measurable outcomes.
Enterprise program management – strong capability in managing complex, cross-functional initiatives with multiple stakeholders and dependencies.
Business operations & governance – experience setting up operating cadence, dashboards, performance reviews, and execution rigor.
Analytical & problem-solving skills – comfort with data-driven decision-making, scenario planning, and business case development.
