Roles and Responsibilites
- Strategic Planning & SNOP Management
- Own the SNOP process to integrate demand planning with sourcing, production, and distribution decisions.
- Build forward-looking operational plans with scenario-based inputs for raw material and packaging requirements.
- Drive inventory optimisation through structured planning approaches to balance availability and working capital.
- Procurement & Supplier Management
- Oversee sourcing and procurement of raw materials and packaging to support consistent production operations.
- Lead supplier negotiations and sourcing strategies while ensuring compliance with quality and regulatory requirements.
- Develop supplier governance mechanisms to monitor performance, reliability, and commercial effectiveness.
- Warehouse & Inventory Operations
- Manage third-party warehousing partners to ensure inventory accuracy, process discipline, and system integrity.
- Improve warehouse efficiency through layout improvements, process standardisation, and selective automation.
- Strengthen replenishment and inventory movement practices through tighter planning and execution.
- Cross-Functional Operations Leadership
- Partner closely with Sales, Finance, and Procurement teams to align operational plans with demand expectations.
- Support new product introductions by ensuring operational and material readiness ahead of launch timelines.
- Compliance, Controls & Safety
- Ensure adherence to food safety, storage, and workplace safety standards across all operational locations.
- Maintain governance, audit preparedness, and consistent process controls across supply chain operations.
Skills and qualifications
Education
- MBA / PGDM in Operations Management, Supply Chain, or a related discipline (preferred).
Experience
- 8+ years of experience managing SNOP processes within FMCG or similar consumer-facing environments, including at least 3 years in procurement or supplier-facing roles.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong understanding of demand planning and SNOP frameworks; certifications such as APICS CPIM or IBF Demand Planning are preferred.
- Advanced working knowledge of Excel and enterprise systems, including ERP and planning tools.
- Proven capability in supplier development and commercial negotiations.
