About the Company
Our client is a VC Fund investing across e-mobility, green hydrogen, energy storage, alternate fuels and other deep-tech ventures. They are looking to hire an AVP - Investments to lead investment transactions across the full lifecycle, including sourcing, underwriting, due diligence, structuring, and closing.
Roles and Responsibilites
- Lead the financial strategy for the fund and its portfolio startups, ensuring alignment with overall growth objectives.
- Develop financial models to support investment decisions and operational planning.
- Collaborate with leadership teams to provide actionable insights, enabling strategic scaling.
- Provide hands-on support to portfolio companies during fundraising rounds, from Series A onwards.
- Oversee capital budgeting and debt financing for portfolio startups, ensuring effective resource allocation and facilitating debt fundraising efforts.
- Lead comprehensive due diligence processes, preparing investor-ready financial documents, presentations, and detailed reports for management prior to investment decisions.
- Help establish robust financial controls, reporting mechanisms, and governance frameworks across Transition VC and its portfolio companies.
- Liaise with secretarial diligence teams to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes for both Transition VC and its portfolio companies.
- Drive the development of MIS reporting and oversee yearly budgeting for portfolio startups and the fund.
- Monitor portfolio companies’ performance, identify risks, and recommend corrective actions.
- Work closely with founders and key stakeholders to optimize financial health and operational efficiency.
Skills and qualifications
- 6-9 years of experience across PE/VC or investment banking
- Expertise in investment management and portfolio analysis
- Strong knowledge of financial markets and investments
- Proficient in due diligence and opportunity assessment
- Excellent analytical, communication, operational, and decision-making skills
- Master's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
- Experience in venture capital or private equity is preferred
