Head – Digital Lending & Portfolio Growth

Roles and Responsibilites
The Business Head will assume end-to-end ownership of the Direct-to-Consumer (D2C) lending vertical and the overall Portfolio Growth charter. This is a senior leadership role with complete P&L responsibility, focused on building a high-velocity, digital-first origination engine while maximizing customer lifetime value through structured cross-sell and up-sell frameworks.
The role reports directly to the Chief Business Officer and plays a pivotal role in scaling the organization’s direct digital business.
Key Responsibilities
- Zero-to-One Business Growth
Act as a business incubator to conceptualize, launch, and scale high-impact digital lending and fee-income products.
Own the complete “0-to-1” journey for new business lines, from ideation to execution and scale-up.
- Customer Lifecycle & Portfolio Growth
Institutionalize a data-driven cross-sell and up-sell framework to maximize customer lifetime value.
Leverage predictive analytics and behavioral triggers to identify high-propensity customers for multi-product penetration.
- Direct Sales & Distribution
Design and optimize seamless, end-to-end digital acquisition journeys.
Oversee centralized high-intent sales operations, including inside sales and call center functions.
Partner closely with Performance Marketing teams to scale direct traffic, improve funnel efficiency, and drive loan conversion.
- Product, Risk & Policy Collaboration
Work closely with Credit and Risk teams to refine underwriting frameworks for the D2C segment.
Influence product design and pricing to ensure market competitiveness, informed by real-time benchmarking and customer insights.
- Customer Experience & Ownership
Lead the charter for building deep customer relationships through advanced segmentation and personalized engagement strategies.
Own the Net Promoter Score (NPS) mandate and ensure consistent delivery of a superior customer experience.
- Team & Capability Building
Build, mentor, and lead high-performing, cross-functional teams across Product, Analytics, Marketing, and Sales.
Foster strong collaboration with internal stakeholders to drive seamless execution, operational efficiency, and continuous process improvement.
Skills and qualifications
Strong analytical orientation with a proven ability to build and scale businesses.
Experience: 12–15 years of progressive leadership experience in Retail Lending, Fintech, or Consumer Banking, with a demonstrated track record of scaling a direct digital business.
Technical Proficiency: Solid understanding of digital marketing funnels, CRM platforms, and the application of data science in portfolio and lifecycle management.
Commercial Acumen: Proven expertise in managing P&Ls, customer acquisition economics, and credit risk–reward trade-offs.
Leadership: Strong stakeholder management capabilities with experience leading large, multi-functional teams across Sales, Operations, and Product.
Education: MBA or equivalent post-graduate qualification from a top-tier business school.
