Roles and Responsibilites
Financial Control & Reporting
- Lead end-to-end financial controlling, accounting, and reporting activities for the German entity.
- Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close as per IFRS and German GAAP (HGB).
- Prepare management reports, variance analysis, dashboards, and MIS for senior leadership and global headquarters.
- Ensure robust internal controls and compliance with group policies.
Budgeting, Forecasting & Business Partnering:
- Lead annual budgeting, rolling forecasts, and long-term financial planning.
- Partner with operations, supply chain, and sales teams to drive cost optimization, margin improvement, and productivity.
- Analyze manufacturing costs, BOM variances, overhead absorption, and working capital efficiency.
Manufacturing & Cost Accounting
- Strong exposure to plant controlling, standard costing, product costing, and inventory valuation.
- Monitor capex planning, ROI analysis, and post-investment reviews.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in cost reduction and operational efficiency
Compliance, Tax & Audit:
- Ensure compliance with German statutory, tax, and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with external auditors, tax consultants, banks, and regulatory authorities.
- Oversee VAT, corporate tax, transfer pricing documentation, and statutory filings
Cash Flow & Treasury
- Manage cash flow planning, liquidity, and banking relationships.
- Monitor receivables, payables, and inventory cycles to optimize working capital.
- Support funding, guarantees, and treasury-related activities.
Leadership & Governance
- Lead, mentor, and develop the local finance team.
- Act as a key finance representative in management discussions and board reviews.
- Support ERP/SAP, automation, and digital finance initiatives.
Skills and qualifications
- CA (India), CPA, IIM, or equivalent globally recognized finance qualification.
- 8-12 years of progressive experience in finance controlling roles.
- Hands-on experience with SAP and advanced financial systems.
- Strong understanding of IFRS, German GAAP (HGB), and international tax concepts
- Proficiency in English. German language knowledge is an advantage
- Indian origin with experience working in cross-border or multinational environments.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Mandatory: Valid visa and legal authorization to work in Germany (no sponsorship).
