1. Own and evolve foundational Python infrastructure used across the platform
2. Design and build production-grade systems that operate reliably at scale
3. Make architecture decisions around data pipelines, orchestration, reconciliation, and core services
4. Write high-quality, maintainable code and lead by example in the codebase
5. Review system designs and pull requests, raising standards for correctness, performance, and reliability
6. Debug complex production and infrastructure issues across the stack
7. Build and improve internal tooling, libraries, and CI/CD patterns to increase developer productivity
8. Partner closely with Research, Product, and Delivery teams to anticipate future needs and design resilient systems
9. Mentor junior engineers through design discussions, code reviews, and hands-on collaboration

1. 7–10 years of production engineering experience, with deep expertise in Python
2. Proven experience building internal platforms, tooling, libraries, or frameworks used by other engineers
3. Strong fundamentals in System design and architecture, Debugging distributed systems
4. Experience designing modular, well-abstracted systems that scale with growing product complexity
5. Comfort working across infrastructure, backend systems, and developer tooling
6. Ability to move fluidly between hands-on coding and high-level architectural thinking
