The organization is a B2B manufacturing player operating in the automotive value chain, specializing in polymer processing and allied industrial products. With multiple manufacturing facilities across North and Central India, the company operates in a margin-sensitive, processing-led environment where tight cost control, working capital discipline, and operational efficiency are critical to sustained profitability.

The business is in a growth and professionalization phase, with strong promoter involvement and a focus on long-term scale and governance.

Roles and Responsibilites

  1. Strategic Leadership
  • Act as a strategic partner and financial co-pilot to the Managing Director and promoters.
  • Drive business strategy, financial planning, and capital allocation decisions.
  • Lead initiatives around fund-raising, mergers & acquisitions, joint ventures, and strategic partnerships.
  • Enable data-driven decision-making through robust financial analytics and insights.
  • Support annual and monthly budgeting with a sharp focus on returns and capital efficiency.
  1. Financial Operations & Systems
  • Design and institutionalize strong systems and processes across:
  • Accounts Receivable (AR): Credit policy, ageing controls, collections discipline, and cash flow forecasting.
  • Accounts Payable (AP): Vendor management, payment cycles, working capital optimization, and compliance checks.
  • Ensure timely and accurate closure of books, with P&L statements finalized within the first week of each reporting period for all units.
  • Build scalable finance systems suited for a multi-unit manufacturing environment.
  • Strengthen internal controls, audit trails, and MIS frameworks across business verticals.
  1. Compliance, Governance & Risk
  • Ensure 100% statutory and regulatory compliance (GST, Income Tax, TDS, customs, company law, and other applicable regulations).
  • Oversee periodic audits and ensure timely, error-free closures.
  • Establish governance frameworks to mitigate financial, operational, and regulatory risks.
  • Serve as the primary interface with auditors, bankers, tax consultants, and regulatory authorities.
  1. Cost Optimization & Performance Management
  • Drive cost optimization initiatives across manufacturing units and support functions.
  • Improve working capital efficiency through disciplined AR/AP management and inventory controls.
  • Establish KPIs and dashboards to track margins, costs, cash flows, and return metrics.
  • Promote operational excellence and resource optimization across the organization.

Skills and qualifications

  • CA / MBA (Finance) or equivalent professional qualification.
  • 15+ years of post-qualification experience, with mandatory exposure to B2B manufacturing.
  • Preference for candidates from automotive, polymer, cables, footwear, industrial materials, or other processing-led industries.
  • Prior experience leading finance for a multi-unit manufacturing setup.
  • Experience in promoter-driven organizations and business scale-up environments.
  • Strong command over financial controls, compliance, working capital management, and cost structures.
  • High ownership mindset, ability to operate with speed, and strong leadership presence.
