Roles and Responsibilites

Strategic Leadership

  • Develop and execute the overall sales strategy for the Adhesives & Coatings business across key industrial segments.
  • Drive revenue growth, market penetration, and profitability aligned with the company’s global strategic objectives.
  • Identify new business opportunities, market segments, and strategic partnerships to expand the company’s footprint.

P&L and Business Management

  • Manage and deliver a sales revenue portfolio of INR 500–700 Cr.+, ensuring consistent achievement of revenue, margin, and growth targets.
  • Develop annual business plans, sales forecasts, and pricing strategies.
  • Monitor market trends, competitive landscape, and customer demand to inform strategic decision-making.

Customer & Market Development

  • Build and nurture relationships with key OEMs, industrial customers, and channel partners across sectors such as packaging, construction, automotive, electronics, and industrial manufacturing.
  • Lead negotiations for large and strategic accounts.
  • Work closely with R&D and technical teams to align product offerings with evolving customer requirements.

Team Leadership

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a large national sales team, including regional heads, key account managers, and channel sales teams.
  • Drive a high-performance sales culture with strong accountability, capability development, and talent retention.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate with marketing, R&D, supply chain, manufacturing, and finance teams to ensure seamless execution of business objectives.
  • Provide market insights to guide product development and innovation initiatives.

Channel & Distribution Strategy

  • Strengthen and expand distributor networks across India.
  • Optimize sales channels to improve reach, customer engagement, and operational efficiency.

Skills and qualifications

Education

  • B.E./B.Tech in Chemical Engineering OR M.Sc. in Organic Chemistry

Experience

  • 20+ years of experience in the specialty chemicals industry, preferably in adhesives, coatings, resins, or allied chemistries.
  • Proven track record of leading large-scale sales operations and managing a business with revenue of INR 500–700 Cr.+
  • Experience in roles such as BU Head / Head of Sales / National Sales Head / Commercial Head.
  • Strong exposure to industrial B2B sales, key account management, and distributor network management.
