Business Manager – Footwear
About the Company
A fast-growing, well-funded consumer lifestyle brand in India with a strong presence across apparel and adjacent categories, operating through a multi-channel (online + offline) distribution model. The company has built a differentiated positioning in the premium fashion segment and is now investing in scaling newer categories, including footwear. Backed by an experienced leadership team, the business is on a high-growth trajectory with plans to significantly expand its category footprint and revenue scale over the next few years.
Roles and Responsibilites
- Own the P&L for the footwear category, driving revenue growth and margin expansion
- Define and execute the overall category strategy, including product mix, pricing, and positioning
- Work closely with design, sourcing, and supply chain teams to ensure strong product-market fit
- Drive sell-through, inventory planning, and merchandising strategy across channels
- Collaborate with marketing and digital teams to drive consumer demand and brand positioning
- Build and scale vendor relationships and oversee sourcing and production
Skills and qualifications
Ideal Candidate Profile
- 12–15 years of experience in footwear or adjacent fashion/lifestyle categories
- Strong experience in category management / business P&L ownership
- Prior experience with leading brands in footwear or lifestyle (e.g., global or premium brands)
- Strong understanding of consumer trends, merchandising, and supply chain dynamics
- Proven ability to scale a category/business in a high-growth environment
