Roles and Responsibilites
- Plant Operations & Strategy
Lead overall plant operations including production, maintenance, quality, and dispatch
Drive strategic initiatives to improve productivity, capacity utilization, and plant performance
Ensure alignment of plant goals with organizational objectives
- Technical & Process Excellence
Provide deep technical leadership across HPDC, LPDC, and GDC processes
Optimize manufacturing processes to improve yield, reduce cycle time, and enhance quality
Lead new product development (NPD), trials, and process validations
- Quality & Compliance
Ensure adherence to customer specifications and quality standards
Drive continuous improvement initiatives such as Lean, Six Sigma, TPM
Maintain compliance with IATF, ISO, and EHS standards
- Supply Chain & Cost Management
Oversee raw material planning, inventory management, and vendor coordination
Drive cost optimization initiatives and monitor plant budgets and CAPEX
Improve OEE and reduce operational inefficiencies
- Leadership & Stakeholder Management
Lead and develop cross-functional teams to build a high-performance culture
Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external customers to ensure delivery excellence
Drive employee engagement, capability building, and succession planning
- Safety & Sustainability
Champion a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with EHS norms
Promote sustainable and responsible manufacturing practices
Skills and qualifications
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or equivalent in mechanical / metallurgical / production engineering
- 20+ years of experience in aluminum die casting manufacturing
Skills
- Strong expertise in HPDC, LPDC, and GDC processes
- Proven experience in leading large-scale manufacturing operations, preferably in the automotive sector
- Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, TPM, and process optimization
- Excellent business acumen with a track record of cost control and operational efficiency
- Strong leadership, decision-making, and stakeholder management skills
