Roles and Responsibilites
- Technology Strategy & Roadmap
Define and lead the technology roadmap for solar cell manufacturing aligned with business growth objectives
Drive innovation across cell technologies (Mono PERC, TOPCon, HJT, and emerging technologies)
Evaluate and implement new technologies to enhance efficiency, yield, and cost competitiveness
- Manufacturing & Process Excellence
Oversee end-to-end solar cell manufacturing processes, ensuring high efficiency, yield, and quality
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize throughput, reduce defects, and improve cost structures
Lead technology transfer, scale-up, and process stabilization for new lines and expansions
- R&D & Innovation
Lead R&D initiatives focused on improving cell efficiency, reliability, and performance
Collaborate with global technology partners, research institutions, and equipment providers
Stay ahead of industry trends and drive adoption of next-generation solar technologies
- Commercialization & Scale-Up
Translate R&D outcomes into commercially viable manufacturing solutions
Support capacity expansion, new plant setups, and ramp-up of production lines
Ensure seamless integration between R&D, engineering, and operations
- Quality & Compliance
Establish and maintain world-class quality standards aligned with global benchmarks
Ensure compliance with international certifications and sustainability standards
Drive reliability testing and performance validation of solar cells
- Leadership & Stakeholder Management
Build and lead a high-performing technology and engineering team
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including operations, supply chain, and business leadership
Act as a key advisor to senior leadership on technology investments and strategic decisions
Skills and qualifications
Qualifications
- PHD/Master’s in Electrical, Electronics, Materials Science, or related engineering disciplines
- 15+ years of experience in the renewable energy / solar manufacturing space
Skills
- Deep expertise in solar cell technologies such as Mono PERC, TOPCon, HJT, etc.
- Proven experience in scaling manufacturing operations and driving process excellence
- Strong understanding of cell efficiency improvement, yield optimization, and cost reduction
- Experience in leading R&D, technology transfer, and commercialization
- Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and stakeholder management capabilities
- Global exposure or experience working with international partners is preferred
