The client is a large scale automotive tier 1 component manufacturing organisation.

• Develop and execute sourcing strategies for EV components, electronic systems, and conventional automotive commodities.
• Identify, evaluate, and onboard domestic and international supplier partners.
• Drive localization initiatives aligned with “Make in India” objectives.
• Implement dual-sourcing and risk mitigation strategies for critical commodities and components.
• Ensure supply continuity amidst geopolitical and market uncertainties.
• Deliver annual cost reduction targets through Value Analysis / Value Engineering (VAVE), Strategic negotiations, Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) optimization.
• Manage commodity price risks through long-term contracts and index-based commercial frameworks.
• Lead digital transformation initiatives within procurement, including analytics-driven sourcing and automation.
• Conduct supplier audits related to ethical practices, sustainability, and operational capability.
• Build strong relationships with key suppliers, OEM customers, and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Collaborate closely with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and program management teams for new product development and launch readiness.

Education

• B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, or related engineering discipline.
• MBA in Supply Chain, Operations, or General Management preferred.

Experience

• 18–25 years of experience in automotive procurement and supply chain management.
• Minimum 5 years in a senior leadership role within a Tier-I automotive manufacturing environment.
• Strong exposure to EV components, electronics sourcing, casting, machining, or automotive commodities preferred.

• Strategic leadership role with high visibility among the leadership team.
• End-to-end ownership of a large-scale procurement and sourcing function.
• Significant career progression and long-term leadership potential within the organization.
