The client is a leading large-scale City Gas Distribution (CGD) organization and part of a diversified Indian conglomerate with a strong presence across infrastructure and energy sectors.

Strategic & P&L Leadership

• Lead the overall P&L performance of the CGD business across multiple operating regions in India.
• Drive sustainable business growth, operational efficiency, EBITDA improvement, and asset utilization.
• Develop and execute long-term operational and expansion strategies aligned with organizational goals.
• Collaborate closely with the Board and senior leadership on growth planning, investments, and market expansion.

Operations & O&M Excellence

• Oversee end-to-end CGD operations including PNG, CNG, pipeline infrastructure, compression systems, and distribution networks.
• Ensure high standards of safety, compliance, uptime, reliability, and operational efficiency across all assets.
• Drive operational excellence initiatives, preventive maintenance frameworks, and process standardization across regions.
• Establish strong governance mechanisms for operational performance, cost optimization, and risk mitigation.

Projects & Expansion

• Lead large-scale expansion of steel and MDPE pipeline networks across India.
• Drive execution and commissioning of new CNG stations, CGS installations, and related infrastructure projects.
• Ensure timely project delivery within budget, quality, and regulatory requirements.
• Manage scalability initiatives to support rapid business expansion and market penetration.

Commercial, Procurement & Contracts

• Oversee commercial operations including procurement strategy, vendor management, contracts, and commercial negotiations.
• Drive cost optimization and strategic sourcing initiatives while ensuring uninterrupted supply and project execution.
• Strengthen contractor ecosystem and procurement governance frameworks across projects and operations.

Stakeholder & Regulatory Management

• Build strong relationships with PNGRB, statutory authorities, EPC partners, government agencies, and key stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory, safety, environmental, and statutory norms applicable to the CGD sector.
• Represent the organization in strategic industry forums and external engagements.

Team & Organizational Leadership

• Lead and mentor large cross-functional teams across operations, projects, engineering, procurement, and commercial functions.
• Build a high-performance, execution-focused culture with strong emphasis on safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Drive leadership capability building and succession planning across critical functions.

• 20+ years of experience in the Oil & Gas / City Gas Distribution sector.
• Currently managing large-scale CGD operations with full P&L responsibility at a Pan-India level.
• Proven experience in scaling CGD businesses including pipeline expansion and CNG station rollout across multiple cities/states.
• Strong operational leadership experience across Operations, Projects, O&M, Commercial, Procurement, and Contracts.
• Deep understanding of CGD regulations, safety standards, network operations, and infrastructure development.
• Demonstrated success in managing large multi-location teams and complex stakeholder environments.
• Strong strategic mindset with execution excellence and business transformation capabilities.
• Engineering degree required; MBA or advanced management qualification preferred.
