Roles and Responsibilites
Corporate Strategy & Growth
- Develop and drive the organization’s long-term strategic growth roadmap across existing and emerging energy businesses.
- Identify new business opportunities, adjacent markets, and diversification initiatives aligned with the evolving energy ecosystem.
- Lead strategic planning exercises including market assessment, business modeling, investment prioritization, and growth forecasting.
- Partner with the Board and leadership team on enterprise-wide strategic initiatives and transformation programs.
New Business Development
- Identify and evaluate opportunities across Renewable Energy, EV infrastructure, clean mobility, hydrogen, LNG, biofuels, and related energy transition sectors.
- Lead incubation and scaling of new businesses from concept to commercialization.
- Develop business cases, go-to-market strategies, partnership models, and investment frameworks for new ventures.
- Drive strategic partnerships, joint ventures, alliances, and collaborations with technology providers, investors, and ecosystem players.
M&A, Investments & Strategic Partnerships
- Lead evaluation and execution of mergers, acquisitions, investments, and strategic transactions.
- Conduct commercial feasibility assessments, due diligence, financial analysis, and risk evaluation for growth opportunities.
- Build and manage relationships with investors, consultants, advisors, financial institutions, and industry stakeholders.
Business Transformation & Innovation
- Drive innovation-led growth initiatives and identify emerging technologies relevant to the energy transition ecosystem.
- Support digital transformation, operational scalability, and future-ready business models.
- Monitor industry trends, policy developments, regulatory changes, and competitive landscape to identify strategic opportunities.
Cross-Functional Leadership
- Collaborate with operations, commercial, finance, projects, and business teams to ensure successful execution of strategic initiatives.
- Build high-performing teams focused on strategy, growth, innovation, and business incubation.
- Establish governance mechanisms and performance metrics for strategic initiatives and new business ventures.
Skills and qualifications
- 15+ years of experience across Renewable Energy, EV Infrastructure, Oil & Gas, Energy Transition, or related infrastructure sectors.
- Proven experience in corporate strategy, new business development, business incubation, or growth leadership roles.
- Strong understanding of emerging energy sectors including EV ecosystems, renewable power, clean fuels, LNG, hydrogen, or integrated energy solutions.
- Demonstrated track record in driving strategic growth initiatives, market expansion, partnerships, or new business setup.
- Experience in evaluating and executing investments, M&A opportunities, or strategic alliances is highly preferred.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to translate strategy into execution and scalable business outcomes.
- Excellent stakeholder management, analytical, leadership, and communication capabilities.
- Engineering degree preferred; MBA from a reputed institution would be an advantage.
