Roles and Responsibilites
Strategic Growth & Market Development
- Develop and execute the business development strategy aligned with the organization's long-term growth objectives.
- Identify emerging opportunities across electric mobility, battery manufacturing, energy storage systems (ESS), and adjacent technology sectors.
- Evaluate new business models, market segments, and customer applications for lithium-ion battery solutions.
- Build and maintain a robust pipeline of strategic opportunities across domestic and international markets.
Strategic Partnerships & Alliances
- Establish and manage relationships with automotive OEMs, EV manufacturers, industrial customers, technology providers, and ecosystem partners.
- Drive joint ventures, technology collaborations, licensing arrangements, and strategic alliances.
- Identify opportunities for partnerships across battery materials, cell manufacturing, charging infrastructure, and energy storage ecosystems.
- Lead commercial discussions and negotiations for strategic collaborations.
Product Commercialization
- Work closely with product, engineering, and R&D teams to align market requirements with product roadmaps.
- Support go-to-market strategies for new battery technologies and solutions.
- Identify customer requirements, market trends, and competitive intelligence to support future product development.
Government & Industry Engagement
- Engage with government agencies, industry associations, and policy stakeholders to support business growth initiatives.
- Monitor regulatory developments, incentive schemes, and industry policies impacting the battery and EV ecosystem.
- Represent the organization at industry forums, conferences, and strategic industry engagements.
Strategic Planning & Leadership
- Conduct market assessments, competitive benchmarking, and business case evaluations.
- Lead feasibility studies for new business opportunities, investments, and expansion initiatives.
- Develop growth forecasts, partnership frameworks, and strategic recommendations for senior leadership.
- Build and lead a high-performing business development team.
Skills and qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering; MBA from a reputed institution preferred.
- 15+ years of experience in business development, strategy, partnerships, corporate development, or market development.
- Experience within EV, automotive, batteries, energy storage, renewable energy, advanced manufacturing, or industrial technology sectors.
- Strong understanding of the EV and battery ecosystem, including OEMs, battery technologies, charging infrastructure, and energy storage markets.
- Demonstrated experience in strategic partnerships, alliances, joint ventures, and business expansion initiatives.
- Strong commercial acumen with excellent stakeholder management and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work effectively across technical, commercial, and leadership teams.
