Chief Business Officer (CBO) - Consumer Internet Platform

The organization is currently undergoing a substantial digital transformation, recruiting senior talent from leading publishers, OTT platforms, and new-age digital businesses to lead its evolution in the vernacular digital content ecosystem.
Roles and Responsibilites
- Lead the end-to-end business strategy and P&L for the platform, driving sustainable growth and profitability.
- Define and execute the go-to-market strategy, user acquisition roadmap, and revenue growth plans.
- Build and scale multiple revenue streams including consultations, subscriptions, digital products, partnerships, and ancillary services.
- Work closely with product, marketing, technology, and operations teams to optimize user engagement, retention, and monetization.
- Establish growth frameworks across performance marketing, CRM, referral programs, partnerships, and lifecycle management.
- Develop key business metrics, dashboards, and operating cadences to monitor performance and identify growth opportunities.
- Drive category expansion, new business initiatives, and strategic partnerships to strengthen market positioning.
- Build and lead high-performing cross-functional teams across business, growth, marketing, and operations.
- Create scalable processes and operating models to support rapid business expansion.
- Represent the business internally with leadership stakeholders and externally with partners, investors, and ecosystem players.
Skills and qualifications
- 12–18+ years of experience in consumer internet, digital platforms, marketplace businesses, subscriptions, gaming, media-tech, entertainment-tech, creator economy, or adjacent new-age consumer businesses.
- Proven experience scaling a consumer-facing digital business with ownership of revenue, growth, and business outcomes.
- Strong understanding of customer acquisition, retention, engagement, monetization, and lifecycle marketing.
- Demonstrated P&L management experience with a track record of delivering growth targets.
- Experience building businesses from early-stage or zero-to-one/one-to-ten growth phases will be highly preferred.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to balance growth and profitability.
- Ability to work in fast-paced, entrepreneurial environments while navigating ambiguity.
- Excellent stakeholder management, leadership, and team-building capabilities.
