About the Company
A rapidly growing hyperlocal, two-way marketplace in the consumer internet space. Currently operating at an Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) of ₹500 Cr, the company is experiencing massive growth, with its core "Household" category processing 65,000 to 70,000 bookings daily. The org. is on an aggressive expansion path, aiming to add another $15 million (approx. ₹100 Cr) to its ARR in the next 6 to 9 months by scaling current offerings and launching new zero-to-one business lines.
Roles and Responsibilites
- Drive Pricing Strategy: Lead the transition from a manual, static pricing model to an automated, dynamic, and search-based pricing system.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with product, operations, and data science teams to build predictive models and develop a robust pricing agent.
- Category Scaling: Grow the daily bookings of the existing Household category from 70,000 to 100,000 within the next few months.
- Market Expansion: Strategically identify and open new micro-markets and cities through calculated, data-driven moves.
- Cost Optimization: Closely monitor and drive strategic reductions in Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC) across categories.
- 0-to-1 Category Launches: Spearhead the launch and scaling of two brand-new categories in pipeline, building their operational playbooks from scratch.
- Future Innovation: Manage the pre-Product-Market Fit (PMF) conception for two additional new categories planned for the upcoming year.
- Team Building: Manage existing category heads while building a dedicated pricing team entirely from the ground up.
Skills and qualifications
- 12 to 17 years of professional experience (with a preference for around 15 years) in consumer internet, specifically within hyperlocal, two-way marketplace setups.
- Deep hands-on experience managing pricing, loyalty programs, subscriptions, and discounting strategies.
- Ideal Candidate: Proven category leaders who have transitioned into revenue roles, former MBB management consultants turned operators, or ex-entrepreneurs who carry strong 0-to-1 building experience.
- Mindset & Culture Fit: Exceptional resilience and a high comfort level with startup chaos. Must be willing to embrace the hustle of a 0-to-1 journey.
- The company prioritizes candidates who have a demonstrated track record of being "fast-trackers" in their previous roles.
