About the Company

Our client is a fast-growing Series B startup with live enterprise deployments and top-tier VC backing.

They maintain a mission-driven engineering culture that prioritizes reliability, scalability, and delivering production-grade systems.

Roles and Responsibilites

  • Own end-to-end engineering execution: planning, delivery, quality, and releases.
  • Lead production reliability, observability, CI/CD, testing, and incident response for multi-tenant and enterprise deployments.
  • Build repeatable, secure customer go-live processes across cloud and private environments.
  • Define and run the engineering operating system: planning cadence, code/design review, release discipline, on-call, and definition of “done.”
  • Hire, set leveling and promotion standards, run performance processes, and develop engineering leads and managers.
  • Partner with ML/data and Product to translate strategy into reliable, shippable software.

Skills and qualifications

  • 12+ years building production software, with at least 4+ years managing engineers (including managing leads or managers).
  • Proven track record running engineering for multi-team or multi-product B2B SaaS companies; experience hardening data or document-heavy systems to production-grade at scale.
  • Strong technical depth: architecture, design review, and hands-on debugging; respected by senior engineers.
  • Hands-on experience with multi-tenant cloud (AWS/Azure), Kubernetes, CI/CD, observability, and data pipelines.
  • Demonstrated experience building engineering processes and quality culture without sacrificing delivery velocity.
  • Clear, direct communicator; high agency; comfortable making decisions with incomplete information.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with regulated or security-sensitive enterprise deployments.
  • Familiarity with AI/ML serving, evaluation pipelines, and GPU infrastructure.
  • Experience with Java/Spring Boot, Python, React/TypeScript, PostgreSQL, ElasticSearch, Temporal or similar tech.
