Business Head - Precision Manufacturing | Defence & Aerospace

Our client is a leading organisation in the precision engineering and advanced manufacturing space, serving the Defence & Aerospace industry. The organisation works on high-precision, complex engineering and manufacturing programs and is focused on expanding its business and strengthening its presence across strategic customers and programs.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Lead the overall business strategy and growth agenda for the Precision Manufacturing business.
• Drive business development and new customer acquisition across Defence & Aerospace and allied engineering sectors.
• Develop and manage relationships with OEMs, Tier-1 customers, Defence organisations and strategic accounts.
• Identify new business opportunities, build the pipeline and drive opportunities from initial engagement through order conversion.
• Lead execution of complex projects from order acquisition through manufacturing and final delivery.
• Ensure projects meet defined quality, cost, delivery and customer expectations.
• Provide leadership to manufacturing operations and drive productivity, capacity utilisation and operational excellence.
• Work closely with Engineering, Projects, Manufacturing, Quality, Procurement and Supply Chain teams to ensure seamless execution.
• Drive capacity planning and manufacturing scale-up in line with business growth.
• Own business performance including revenue, profitability, customer relationships and operational delivery.

Skills and qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in precision engineering, advanced manufacturing, Defence, Aerospace, automotive or allied engineering industries.
• Strong experience across a combination of Business Development, Project/Program Management and Manufacturing/Operations.
• Proven track record in new business development, customer acquisition and strategic account management.
• Experience managing complex engineering/manufacturing projects with multiple stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of precision manufacturing, machining, engineering processes and manufacturing operations.
