About the Company

Our client is a well-established and growing Indian consumer and retail business with a strong brand presence and an expanding footprint. The organisation is at an exciting stage of its growth journey and is looking to bring on board a commercially oriented and strategic finance leader.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Lead the overall financial strategy and partner with the MD & CEO on key business decisions
• Drive P&L performance, profitability, margins and cost optimisation initiatives
• Lead FP&A, annual budgeting, forecasting, MIS and financial performance reviews
• Drive working capital optimisation, inventory productivity and cash flow management
• Partner closely with business functions including Retail, Merchandising, Supply Chain and Operations
• Lead fundraising initiatives and manage relationships with investors, banks and financial institutions
• Oversee controllership, taxation, treasury, compliance, audits and governance
• Drive finance transformation, automation and strengthening of ERP and reporting capabilities
• Evaluate strategic investments, expansion opportunities, partnerships and M&A opportunities
• Build, mentor and lead a high-performing Finance team

Skills and qualifications

• CA qualification is mandatory
• 18+ years of overall Finance experience
• Significant experience in senior finance leadership roles, ideally as a CFO / Head of Finance
• Prior experience in Retail, Apparel, Fashion, FMCG, Consumer, E-commerce or other consumer-facing businesses
• Strong experience across P&L management, FP&A, Business Finance, Controllership, Treasury and Taxation
• Experience in fundraising, investor management and strategic transactions will be highly valued
• Strong commercial acumen and the ability to partner with senior leadership and drive business outcomes
