Define and execute the technology vision, strategy, and roadmap aligned with the company’s business goals.
Own the end-to-end technology and engineering function, including product engineering, infrastructure, security, and scalability.
Architect and build secure, scalable, and high-performance fintech products and platforms.
Build, mentor, and scale a high-performing engineering team, including hiring senior technology leaders.
Work closely with the Founders, Product, and Business teams to translate business requirements into effective technology solutions.
Drive key decisions around architecture, technology stack, cloud infrastructure, and build-vs-buy.
Establish strong engineering practices around code quality, testing, CI/CD, observability, security, and reliability.
Ensure the platform can scale efficiently with the company’s rapid customer and transaction growth.
Stay ahead of emerging technologies, particularly AI/ML, and identify opportunities to leverage them across the product and engineering organisation.
Foster a culture of ownership, innovation, collaboration, and engineering excellence.
Manage technology budgets, vendors, technical risks, and regulatory/security requirements relevant to the fintech ecosystem.
Partner with the leadership team on long-term product strategy, business expansion, and technology-led growth.

12+ years of experience in software engineering, with significant experience in technology leadership roles.
Proven experience as a CTO, VP Engineering, Head of Engineering, or Engineering Director in a startup/scale-up environment.
Strong expertise in software architecture, distributed systems, APIs, databases, cloud infrastructure, and cybersecurity.
Experience building and scaling high-performing engineering teams from the ground up.
Strong understanding of fintech products, financial technology, payments, lending, banking, or other regulated technology environments.
Experience designing secure, scalable, highly available, and reliable platforms handling significant transaction volumes.
Strong product mindset with the ability to connect technology decisions to customer and business outcomes.
Experience with modern technologies and cloud platforms such as Python/Java/Node.js, AWS/Azure/GCP, microservices, APIs, and DevOps.
Exposure to AI/ML and emerging technologies, with an understanding of how they can create product and business value.
Strong experience in hiring, mentoring, and developing engineering leadership.
Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to work closely with founders, investors, product leaders, and business teams.
Strong strategic thinking, execution orientation, and entrepreneurial mindset.
