Director, Medical Affairs, Clinical Innovation & Partnerships

Roles and Responsibilities
- Lead Medical Affairs, Clinical Innovation, and Strategic Partnership initiatives across the organization.
- Provide clinical and scientific expertise to support innovation, product development, strategy, regulatory, quality, and business teams.
- Build and maintain relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), healthcare providers, hospitals, academic institutions, and other ecosystem stakeholders.
- Drive strategic collaborations and partnerships to support innovation, research, and clinical excellence.
- Generate and apply clinician insights to improve product design, clinical workflows, evidence generation, and patient outcomes.
- Support and influence new product development by integrating clinical, market, and healthcare industry insights.
- Lead clinician engagement initiatives, including advisory boards, workshops, and clinical immersion programs.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams across R&D, Medical Affairs, Commercial, and Leadership functions.
- Develop frameworks for clinical insight generation and mentor teams on healthcare trends, patient needs, and clinical practice.
- Drive innovation programs from concept to execution, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and stakeholder needs.
- Support the development and communication of clinical value propositions for new technologies and solutions.
- Manage strategic planning, project execution, and budget oversight for innovation and partnership initiatives.
- Act as a key bridge between clinicians, technology teams, and healthcare stakeholders to accelerate adoption of innovative healthcare solutions.
Skills and qualifications
- MS/MD degree required; additional management qualification preferred.
- Extensive experience in Medical Affairs, Clinical Affairs, Clinical Innovation, R&D, or healthcare technology environments.
- Prior experience within MedTech, medical devices, healthcare technology, or innovation-driven healthcare organizations.
- Strong understanding of healthcare ecosystems, clinical practice, medical evidence generation, and product development processes.
- Proven experience building and managing relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), physicians, hospitals, academic institutions, and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic partnerships and collaborative innovation programs.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to align clinical insights with organizational and commercial objectives.
- Experience working cross-functionally with R&D, Regulatory, Quality, Strategy, Commercial, and Leadership teams.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, presentation, negotiation, and influencing skills.
- Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
- Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and drive complex programs in a matrixed environment.
- Experience translating clinical needs and healthcare challenges into innovative product and technology solutions.
- Strong project management, planning, execution, and organizational skills.
- Financial acumen, including budget planning and resource management.
- Ability to build and sustain partnerships across healthcare, academia, industry, and government stakeholders.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.
- Preferred Background
- Experience in Medical Affairs, Clinical Affairs, Clinical Research, Clinical Innovation, Upstream R&D, or Healthcare Strategy roles.
- Exposure to healthcare innovation ecosystems, product development, and clinician engagement programs.
- Experience working with KOL networks, advisory boards, and healthcare institutions.
- Track record of driving innovation initiatives, partnership programs, and evidence-based healthcare solution.
