Roles and Responsibilities

• Develop and implement material sourcing strategies across manufacturing operations.
• Consolidate and optimise the supplier base, sourcing channels, and material specifications.
• Lead supplier assessment, qualification, development, performance reviews, and strategic partnerships.
• Drive commercial negotiations, cost benchmarking, and sustainable procurement savings.
• Work with Quality teams to ensure supplier capability, specifications, and materials meet product requirements.
• Ensure timely material availability for production across multiple manufacturing locations.
• Manage supplier dependency, lead times, inventory exposure, and material supply risks.
• Identify alternate sources for critical materials and strengthen continuity readiness.
• Establish procurement controls, supplier performance measures, and data-led decision-making.
• Lead and develop a performance-oriented procurement team.

Skills and qualifications

• 15–18 years of progressive experience in strategic procurement, raw-material sourcing, category management, and supplier development.
• Demonstrated results in cost optimisation, supplier rationalisation, negotiations, and material-quality improvement.
• Experience managing multi-site manufacturing needs and domestic and international supplier networks.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Materials Management, or a related discipline; postgraduate qualification preferred.
