About the Company

Our client is one of India's largest professionally managed consumer businesses with a strong pan-India footprint and an ambitious expansion roadmap. The organization is known for its focus on operational excellence, customer-centricity, and building scalable businesses. As part of its continued growth, it is looking to hire a seasoned leader to drive its Retail Projects and Store Development function.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end execution of retail expansion projects across India.
• Drive store planning, design, engineering, construction, and project delivery.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to defined quality standards.
• Develop customer-centric store layouts and optimize retail space utilization.
• Lead cross-functional teams across Design, Engineering, MEP, Execution, and Safety.
• Partner closely with Business, Retail Operations, Marketing, Finance, and Visual Merchandising teams.
• Drive vendor selection, contractor management, commercial negotiations, and project governance.
• Ensure seamless store handovers and operational readiness for new store launches.
• Build scalable project management processes and lead a high-performing team.

Skills and qualifications

• 20+ years of experience in Retail Projects, Store Development, Construction, or Engineering.
• Experience in a senior leadership role managing large-scale retail expansion.
• Strong experience in organized retail, department stores, large-format retail, specialty retail, or consumer-facing businesses with extensive physical store networks.
• Proven track record of delivering multi-location retail rollout programs.
• Strong commercial, project management, stakeholder management, and people leadership capabilities.
