National Technical Manager

About the Company

• Well-capitalized, fast-growing NBFC lender in the housing and property-backed lending space, with a pan-India branch network and a strong risk-rated balance sheet.
• This is a senior, national-level mandate for a civil engineering leader who will own the organization's technical valuation framework - the discipline that ensures every loan is backed by legally sound, structurally verified, and accurately valued collateral.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Define and govern technical eligibility standards across Loan Against Property (LAP), Home Loans, Affordable Housing, MSME-linked, and Commercial collateral
• Own end-to-end vendor governance for a nationwide panel of empanelled valuers — onboarding, performance review, and de-empanelment where standards are not met
• Lead technical due diligence on high-value and complex proposals, acting as the final point of escalation for exceptional cases
• Drive portfolio-level risk analytics, including variance analysis between vendor and internal valuations, to identify inflation trends and fraud indicators
• Lead process modernization — GIS, geo-tagging, image analytics, and AI-enabled valuation workflows
• Build and lead a team of Regional Technical Managers, standardizing methodology and practice across geographies
• Ensure full alignment with RBI, NHB, and RERA regulatory requirements, and support internal audit and statutory audit processes

Skills and qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech (or Diploma) in Civil Engineering — mandatory
• 12–18 years of experience in technical valuation, mortgage lending, housing finance, or NBFC environments
• Minimum 5 years leading a zonal or national technical function
• Demonstrated experience across LAP, Home Loans, Affordable Housing, and Commercial Property valuations
• Proven exposure to policy formulation and vendor management at scale
• Strong stakeholder management capability, with the ability to balance risk discipline against business growth objectives
