Roles and Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end manufacturing operations, including production, supply chain, planning, procurement, warehousing, and logistics.
- Develop and execute manufacturing strategies aligned with business goals and customer demand.
- Ensure optimal production planning, inventory management, and capacity utilization while maintaining high service levels.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives through Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, TPM, and other operational excellence methodologies.
- Optimize manufacturing costs, improve productivity, and enhance overall plant performance.
- Establish performance metrics and monitor key operational KPIs across manufacturing and supply chain functions.
- Champion digital transformation initiatives, including ERP and advanced planning systems.
- Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and environmental standards across all manufacturing operations.
- Build and mentor high-performing cross-functional teams while fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
Skills and qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Production, Industrial, Electrical, or equivalent); a postgraduate qualification in Operations or Supply Chain Management is preferred.
- 15+ years of progressive experience in manufacturing, supply chain, and production planning, with significant leadership responsibility.
- Proven experience managing integrated manufacturing operations and end-to-end supply chain functions in a large manufacturing organization.
- Sound knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, TPM, Kaizen, and continuous improvement practices.
- Experience working with ERP platforms such as SAP, Oracle, or similar enterprise systems.
- Strong analytical, commercial, and financial acumen with a track record of driving operational improvements.
- Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, problem-solving, and change management skills.
- Ability to lead large teams and collaborate effectively across operations, sales, finance, quality, and engineering functions.
