Own the technical architecture and design of backend services and platform modules, ensuring scalability and reliability.
Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services using Java (Spring Boot) and Python (Flask, Pandas, PyArrow).
Build and manage reliable, long-running workflows using Temporal and Argo Workflows.
Set and maintain high standards for code quality, testing, documentation, and engineering practices through design and code reviews.
Troubleshoot complex production issues across distributed systems and drive them to root cause resolution.
Partner with SRE and DevOps teams to ensure smooth releases, deployments, observability, and operational readiness.
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of backend engineers through regular feedback, code reviews, and technical guidance.
Translate product goals into clear technical workstreams, priorities, and executable specifications.
Make sound technical decisions and manage trade-offs between speed, scope, and long-term maintainability.
Work closely with Product, Customer Implementation, SRE, DevOps, QA, and UI teams to deliver features end-to-end.
Identify recurring customer and implementation issues and convert them into scalable platform capabilities rather than one-off fixes.
Communicate technical progress, risks, dependencies, and constraints to stakeholders and represent the team in architecture and roadmap discussions.

8–10 years of software development experience, including experience leading or mentoring engineering teams.
Strong hands-on expertise in Java or Python, with working proficiency in the other.
Production experience with Spring Boot or Flask.
Hands-on experience with Pandas and PyArrow for data processing.
Experience with workflow orchestration tools such as Temporal or Argo Workflows.
Strong understanding of microservices architecture and RESTful API design.
Working knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, and Git.
Experience designing and building scalable, reliable backend systems for production environments.
Strong technical decision-making skills with the ability to balance speed, scope, and maintainability.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Proven track record of delivering complex engineering projects with a team.
