Roles and Responsibilities

  • This is a high-impact, strategy-first role focused on building and optimizing end-to-end collections strategy across the lifecycle — from pre-delinquency to recovery.
  • The role requires a data-driven problem solver with deep expertise in portfolio analytics, risk segmentation, and AI/ML-led strategy design, who can drive measurable improvements in resolution rates, roll-back efficiency, and cost of collections.
  • Key Responsibilities:
  • End-to-End Collections Strategy
  • Design and optimize lifecycle strategies across pre-due, early bucket, late bucket, and recovery stages
  • Develop stage-wise treatment frameworks (digital, tele-calling, field) to improve cure rates
  • Drive reduction in roll-forward rates and overall delinquency levels
  • Portfolio Analytics & Risk Segmentation
  • Analyze portfolio behavior to identify delinquency drivers and risk trends
  • Build and monitor collection scorecards and segmentation frameworks
  • Enable differentiated strategies across customer cohorts and risk bands
  • AI/ML-Led Strategy Development
  • Build and deploy models for:
  • Delinquency prediction
  • Roll-rate forecasting
  • Recovery propensity
  • Contactability optimization
  • Partner with data and tech teams to ensure scalable model deployment
  • Continuously monitor model performance, stability, and recalibration
  • Strategy Performance & Optimization
  • Define and track collection KPIs, dashboards, and performance metrics
  • Implement champion–challenger frameworks for ongoing strategy improvement
  • Align agent productivity and performance scorecards with business outcomes
  • Advanced Data Analytics
  • Perform cohort, vintage, and roll-rate analysis to uncover actionable insights
  • Work with large structured/unstructured datasets to refine strategies
  • Translate historical trends into forward-looking decision frameworks
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with Risk, Operations, Product, and Technology teams
  • Present insights and recommendations to senior leadership
  • Drive alignment between analytics insights and execution teams

Skills and qualifications

  • Experience
  • 4–8 years in collections analytics, credit risk, or risk strategy roles
  • Experience in NBFCs, Banks, or FinTech platforms preferred
  • Proven track record of driving measurable improvements in collections efficiency
  • Technical Skills
  • Strong proficiency in:
  • SQL
  • Python / R
  • Advanced Excel
  • Power BI / Tableau
  • Deep understanding of:
  • Portfolio scorecards & segmentation
  • Roll-rate & vintage analysis
  • AI/ML model development & validation

  • Education
  • Bachelor’s / Master’s in Engineering, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or related fields
  • Strong preference for candidates from IITs, IIMs, ISI, or other top-tier institutions
