Roles and Responsibilities

  • Lead overall quality management across their 3 plants, covering raw material, manufacturing, process, SQA and QMS.
  • Drive quality standards and ensure adherence to customer specifications, industry standards, and internal quality systems.
  • Oversee incoming/raw material quality, including supplier quality, inspection, rejection analysis, and corrective actions.
  • Monitor in-process and final product quality across manufacturing operations.
  • Identify quality issues, conduct RCA, CAPA, 8D, and problem-solving initiatives, and drive timely closure.
  • Work closely with Manufacturing, Production, Engineering, Procurement, and Suppliers to improve quality and reduce defects.
  • Drive continuous improvement, process capability, defect reduction, and cost of poor quality initiatives.

Skills and qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical / Production / Metallurgy / Industrial Engineering or a related discipline.
  • 8–15 years of experience in plant quality, manufacturing quality, and/or supplier/raw material quality.
  • Experience in metal components manufacturing, preferably across castings, forgings, machining, or bar-stock components.
  • Strong understanding of quality management systems, manufacturing processes, inspection, and quality control.
  • Hands-on experience with RCA, CAPA, 8D, FMEA, MSA, SPC, PPAP, and problem-solving methodologies.
