Develop and execute procurement strategies for grains including barley, maize, wheat, rice, and other agricultural commodities.
Lead end-to-end sourcing activities including supplier identification, evaluation, negotiations, contracting, and vendor performance management.
Build and maintain strong relationships with farmers, aggregators, traders, mandis, FPOs, and suppliers across sourcing regions.
Ensure uninterrupted supply of quality raw materials while optimising procurement costs.
Monitor commodity markets, pricing trends, crop forecasts, weather patterns, and government policies affecting grain procurement.
Drive commercial negotiations to achieve favourable pricing, payment terms, and long-term supply agreements.
Collaborate closely with manufacturing, supply chain, finance, and quality teams for procurement planning and inventory optimisation.
Ensure compliance with procurement policies, statutory regulations, food safety standards, and quality specifications.
Identify opportunities for process improvements, procurement digitisation, and supply chain efficiencies.
Lead, mentor, and develop the procurement team while fostering a high-performance culture.

Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Food Technology, Supply Chain, Engineering, Business -Administration, or a related discipline. An MBA is preferred.
12–18 years of progressive procurement experience, with significant exposure to grain or agricultural commodity sourcing.
Strong understanding of agricultural supply chains, commodity procurement, and procurement planning.
Proven experience in commercial negotiations, supplier development, and contract management.
Strong analytical, commercial, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to interpret commodity market dynamics and make data-driven sourcing decisions.
Experience working with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle is preferred.
Excellent leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
